Jeremy White, Graphics Editor at the New York Times, recounts an alarming experience with Rui Zhu, a Ph.D. candidate at Indiana University Bloomington. Unbeknownst to him, Mr. Rui used ChatGPT to acquire Mr. White’s email address. Although the email address is no secret, it reveals the possible dangers that ChatGPT has with just a bit of tweaking.
