Ransomware and Higher Education


Ransomware can have devastating effects on those who it claims as victims. It is capable of not only causing institutions to pay large sums of money to regain access to their data, but it can also disrupt operations and destroy reputations. All of these effects have long-lasting and devastating outcomes for higher education.  As the number of Ransomware attacks on educational institutions rises, it is important to think about the future and prepare for such an attack.
